Best Air Cargo Carrier in Asia 2009

Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) has added another feather to its cap by winning the Best Air Cargo Carrier in Asia title at the 23rd annual Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards 2009 (AFSCA) in Hong Kong. The national air cargo carrier was nominated for Best Air Cargo Carrier (Asia), Best Air Cargo Terminal (Asia) and Best Green Service Provider (Airline).

Best Carrier (Flown as Booked) Quality Awards Italy 2007

MASkargo was rated the Best Carrier in the category of Flown as Booked at the Quality Awards Italy by ANAMA on 21 Nov 2008.

Presenting the Award was ANAMA'S President and Vice President Mr. Biagio Bruni, Mr. Alessandro Albertini. Collecting the Award on behalf of MASkargo was Cargo Manager Italy, Spain & Portugal Mr. Enrico Battaglia and Sales & Operations Executive Ms. Valentina Lelli.

MPC Productivity Award 2006/2007

Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn. Bhd. (MASkargo) has won the 2006/2007 Productivity Award under the Services - Open category at the recent Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Award Presentation Ceremony which was held on 7 April 2008 at Sheraton Subang.

Accepting the award was Managing Director of MASkargo, En Shahari Sulaiman, who was accompanied by senior management.

MASkargo beat other multinationals such as Plenitude Tebrau Sdn Bhd, Puteri Specialist Hospital, Sushi Kin Sdn Bhd and Westports Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

The award was given based on two criteria - Qualitative and Quantitative assessment of which MASkargo performed very well in each area.

As recipient of the award, MASkargo received a cash prize of RM10,000, a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.

Brandlaureate Award for Best SMEs Supporter Award 2007 for Air Services

MASkargo won the best SMEs Supporter Award under the Air Services category at The BrandLaureate Award Ceremony at Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 8 January 2008.

The award ceremony is held to recognize small and medium enterprises who have successfully built their brands in the country amidst meeting the Government's objectives of Malaysian brands achieving distinction on a global basis.

OHSAS 18001 Certification

To enhance our reputation as a global cargo service provider, MASkargo embarked on a special program to reduce or minimise work-related injuries for employees and third parties, making MASkargo ACC a safety-conscious workplace. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Certification

MASkargo received a double ISO certification when its Express Handling and the Charter and Planning units received ISO 9001:2000 certification, while the Animal Hotel facility received the ISO14001 environmental certification. The then Minister of Science, Technology and the Environment, YB Datuk Seri Law Hieng Ding witnessed the presentation of certificates by SIRIM President and CEO, Datuk Dr Ariffin Aton to Malaysia Airlines Managing Director, Datuk Md Nor Yusof.

Prime Minister Quality Award 2003

The prestigious award recognizes the importance of quality management in achieving excellence in any industry. MASkargo is proud to announce that it is now striving to win this award in view of the turnaround in financial and operational performance it achieved in the last financial year.

ISO 14001

The ISO 14001 now being sought after by MASkargo, is basically aimed towards contributing to a 'Corporate Environmental Image' through sustaining good environmental management and making continual Environmental improvement in the organization. The ISO programme begun in July, and will end in December. The concentration of ISO 14001 work scope will focus on provision of transfer and storage of animal on behalf of Malaysia Airlines and Customer airlines.

I-Port recognized world's first by the Malaysia Book Of Records

MASkargo recently was recognized by the Malaysia Books Of Records as having the "World's First Airport Within Seaport" programme – I-Port. The recognition encouraged MASkargo to work harder in promoting the service, in line with the Government's aim of making Malaysian airports and ports as the load center of the region.
