Reference is made to our circular DSC 2C 2138 dated 22 June 2004.
In view of the fact that the fuel price index has continuously exceeded 305 for the past few weeks, Malaysia Airlines will revise the fuel surcharge for uplift of cargo on Malaysia Airlines services to the following levels effective 15 July 2005.
| From Malaysia to IATA Area 1 & Area 2 | : | MYR 1.71/Kg | | From Malaysia to Australia, New Zealand and Indian Sub-Continent | : | MYR 1.00/Kg | | From Malaysia to IATA Area 3 | : | MYR 0.80/Kg | | Uplift of SCR 007 (Fruits & Vegetables) from Malaysia to IATA Area 2 & 3 | : | MYR 0.65/Kg | | Between Malaysia Domestic points | : | Not applicable | | Shipments under Minimum Charges | : | Not applicable |
Note: The above surcharge will be based on chargeable weight.
This mechanism is based on the current fuel price index as stipulated on our website and the methodology for implementation of fuel surcharge, the current index is 318. In view of Malaysia Airlines commitment in supporting the local industries, Malaysia Airlines will only revise the fuel surcharge to IATA Area 1 & 2 and Indian Sub-Continent.
Kindly be advised that this circular supersedes our earlier circular on fuel surcharge.
