MASkargo Welcomes Ethiopian Airlines as New Business Partner
KLIA, 08 April 2020: After months of negotiation, MAB KARGO SDN. BHD. (MASkargo) today welcomed its new business partner, Ethiopian Airlines at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
Ethiopian Airlines freighter flight ET3638 landed at the KLIA at 1430hrs and was greeted by Jamaludin Ismail, MASkargo Operations General Manager.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the inaugural fight was celebrated in a low key affair minus the usual pomp which is normally accorded to an inaugural landing.
At the airside, Jamaludin welcomed Captain Alexander Krivets and Captain Miniyahile Dilnessahu who flew the aircraft in from Dubai with 96 tonnes of cargo.
Speaking on the new partnership, Ibrahim Mohamed Salleh, MASkargo Chief Executive Officer said, “The MASkargo team is happy to welcome Ethiopian Airlines as part of our family. This exciting partnership, while supplementing our own services, will help us in expanding our reach into Europe thus offering our customers options for their cargo movement”.
The weekly service operates on Ethiopian’s Boeing 777 aircraft offering an 80 tonne payload out of Kuala Lumpur. The service originates from Brussels and the route of the flight is Brussels-Dubai-Kuala Lumpur-Brussels.
